Emerald Goddess
This piece creates a powerful visual contrast by emerging a smooth head and sleek silhouette from a highly textured, chaotic environment.
I want to explore the concept of inner peace amidst external chaos. The smooth head represents clarity, mindfulness, and the serene mind of a goddess, while the thick, clumpy surroundings represent the wild, untamed forces of nature and life. It shows that elegance can coexist with raw, heavy texture.
This artwork is a fluid acrylic pour shaped into a feminine silhouette and head. The figure (in blue) rises from a palette of rich moss, deep emerald, and fertile soil greens that swirl together like living terrain. I layered liquid paints to create deep, marbled textures directly on the canvas.
My goal is to make the viewer feel a tension between stillness and movement. I want people to physically feel the heavy, dimensional texture of the background with their eyes, while finding rest in the smoother silhouette. Ultimately, by capturing a human shape through unpredictable fluid art, the piece highlights the beauty of natural imperfections. It serves as a reminder to find your inner goddess and remain calm, even when the world around you is beautifully chaotic.
